My Super Duper Superhero

This is one of my favourite cards as I really like super heroes and New York and this card has both. On the front of the card I blended the background using Distress Inks and then die cut a silhouette of New York using black card (My Favourite Things: New York Skyline) I added a monster (Lawn Fawn: Monster Mash) and a super hero - with his dog (Mama Elephant: Tiny Heros).

Inside the card I blended the background and added some splashes of gold. For the pop up (Lawn Fawn: Pivet Pop Up) panel I blended a background and added another die cut silhouette of New York. I had planned to put some of the super heroes and at least one monster on acetate but this didn't work so I stuck them slightly over the edge of the panel instead.

I think this card works really well and I am very happy with it.

Out of this world

I saw an idea similar to this on another card ( by Shammy's crafts) where it was a pop up card with aliens and astronauts. I thought it was a really good idea and wanted to do something similar using astronauts in a pop up card.

I designed the inside of the card first. The pop up panel ( Lawn Fawn: Pivit Pop Up) is water colour using liquid water colour. The background of the card is blended - I needed the die cut cloud panels (Lawn Fawn: Stitched Clouds) to cover where I'd put finger prints, but I think the clouds work vert well.

On the pop up I added some aliens (Lawn Fawn: Monster Mash) and an astronaut (Lawn Fawn: Out of This World). The rockets and the stars where attached to strips of acetate to make them stand out.

On the front of the card the background is made with liquid water colour- which is a technique I really like because its easy and looks good. The moon surface (Lawn Fawn: Stitched Hillsides) is blended. I coloured everything else using copics pens. I added a few sequins to finish the card.

Viking Hidden Slider Card

I wanted to make a slider card as soon as I saw the boat. As soon as I knew it was a slider card with Vikings designing the card was easy - I just needed it look as much like a Norwegian fjord as possible. (Clearly Besotted: Hip Hop Hooray, Honey Bee: Mountain Border, Lawn Fawn: Everyday Sliders, WPlus9 : Wave Border).

My sister helped me make it a hidden slider card. I blended the sky, the grass and mountains, The water was coloured using liquid water colours, which I really like.

I didn't use a die for the grass to give a softer edge with all the other die cut edges. I added the trees (Neat and Tangled: Lumberjack Love) in at end to fill in the scene.
